StopRun

Release to run. Hold to stop.

A one-touch game about a crash-test dummy, a facility full of traps that never pause, and an AI called OVERSIGHT that would rather you didn't make it out. Sixty levels across six worlds, and six Nightmares after them.

The crash-test dummy skids to a stop under a red laser, a spiked crusher slamming down behind him while a giant red eye watches
Level 2 in the Crash Lab: the dummy waits in front of a laser
The one rule

Stopping is the hard part

Lift your finger and the dummy sprints. Put it down anywhere on the screen and he stops dead. That's the only control, and every level is built around it.

A Factory level: a grinding wall closes in from behind while a laser blocks the way ahead
The catch

The traps don't wait for you

Lasers blink, crushers drop, saws slide and floors switch on, whether you're moving or not. Stop in the wrong spot and stopping is what gets you. Watch the pattern, pick your moment, go.

Level 60: OVERSIGHT's red eye fills the room
The voice in the ceiling

OVERSIGHT is watching

The facility's AI runs every test and has something to say about each attempt. It is rarely encouraging. Turn its remarks off in Settings if you'd rather fail in peace.

Six worlds, sixty levels

Each world brings its own traps and a new way to get caught out, and each ends on a level that asks for everything you've learned.

Levels 1–10

Crash Lab

You are being tested.

Levels 11–20

Factory

The belts keep moving. Even when you don't.

Levels 21–30

Meltdown

Floors charge. Beams sweep. Nothing stays safe.

Levels 31–40

Cold Storage

The floor is ice. Braking is a suggestion.

Levels 41–50

Night Shift

Lights out. The cameras are not.

Levels 51–60

The Core

You have reached me. That was not the plan.

Meet the facility

Some of it wants to crush you. Some of it only wants you to hold still. Learning which is which is the game.

A circular saw blade

The saw

Rolls up and down its track and never takes a break.

A hydraulic crusher

The crusher

Drops on a timer. The timer is not on your side.

A wall of spinning grinders

The wall

Comes from behind and keeps coming. Here, standing still is the dangerous part.

A security camera

The camera

Turns the rule around: move in its light and you're caught. Freeze, and it looks straight past you.

A patrol drone

The drone

Patrols overhead and sweeps the floor with its beam in pulses. Cross between them.

A fake exit with teeth

The fake exit

Looks like the way out until you get close. Then it grows teeth.

OVERSIGHT's eye

And at the very end, OVERSIGHT

Level 60 is OVERSIGHT's own room, and it does not intend to let you through.

“You found me. I am OVERSIGHT, and this is my room. Hold still. Please.”

Earn it

Every level has three medals: one for clearing it, one for clearing it without dying, and one for beating its gold time. Stop on the bolts along the way and spend them on new looks in the Locker.

Bolts
The crash-test dummy in his Locker outfits: Classic, Safety Officer, Firefighter, Ninja, Astronaut, Rubber Duck, Gold Plated, Veteran and Glitch
The Locker: every outfit has its own look, sound and a small perk, such as a head start on walls, a one-hit shield or slow motion near traps. Buy them with bolts, or earn them with a perfect Crash Lab, five hundred deaths or clearing Level 30.
The Classic dummy beside the six Nightmare outfits: Prototype, Welder, Molten, Frostbite, Night Ops and Overseer
Clearing a world's last level opens its Nightmare: no help, no revives. Beat it for an outfit you can't buy.
