Where is my progress saved?
On your device, in the game's own storage: your crowns, best scores, the daily island's best and your days in a row, and any game in progress. Nothing is sent to us.
Can I move my progress to a new phone?
If your phone backs up its apps to your Google account, the game's save is part of that backup, and restoring your apps on a new phone brings it back. There is no account in the game itself.
What happens if I leave in the middle of a game?
The game is saved whenever your phone puts the app away and after every turn of the Ember Clan, so the next launch picks it up where you left it. The guided first island starts again instead.
My turn ends by itself. How do I stop that?
When nothing worth doing is left, the turn ends on its own after a moment. Tap the screen to keep the turn going, or switch the automatic end of turn off in the compass menu.
How do I take back a move?
Tap Undo. It takes back anything you did in your current turn.
What does Preview show?
Preview marks the tiles the next rise of the sea will take, so you can move units and raise cities before it comes.
I keep losing an island. Any advice?
Read Wren's tip for the island again: each one is won by one skill or idea, and on the deep islands that skill is the first thing to learn. Wren's notebook, in the compass menu, explains every rule with the game's real numbers.
How does the daily island work?
Each local day brings one new map, the same for every player, played over 15 turns against the normal Ember Clan. The game keeps your best score for the day and counts your days in a row. "Copy result" puts one line about your game on the clipboard to share.
Does Tidemarch work offline?
Yes. It needs no internet connection, no account and no sign-in.
